Struggling with knee extension or quad activation after a knee injury?

Give this 3 exercises a try

1st progression
• Fitball terminal knee extension isometric
• Long duration holds >45s
• Push the back of the knee into the ball and hold

2nd Progression
• Banded terminal knee extension step up
• Sets of 10+
• Push the band back as you step up onto the box

3rd progression
• Prone bench terminal knee extension step
• Slow controlled reps in sets of 6+
• Control through the range you can tolerate

- Task constraint - focus on a fast deceleration with load
- I still like a fast concentric action with low volumes
- Rapid force application eccentrically (how fast can we catch)
